Change – Our Necessary Friend January 21, 2015 by admin Leave a Comment When I was 11 years old I had my first job and I was ecstatic. I was delivering newspapers and while most kids zoomed through their routes on their bikes I was walking 5 miles a day and I was content. I knew these legs were made for walking so it didn’t matter to me. By the time I was a 14 I had started a business in boarding school, at age 17 I was making enough money to pay my rent and my mother’s rent. A year later as a freshman in college I bought my first property and flipped it within 10 months. I made a profit of $10,000 (which was a significant amount of money 20 years ago), I used half of my earnings to pay my college tuition and the rest to put a down payment on 1995 Toyota Camry. As an adult I kept making decisions that were beneficial to my financial, emotional, and physical well being. Fast forward to 2014 – I’m still wearing different hats: Mom, New Yorker, Entrepreneur, Life Coach, Volunteer for Aspira and Amnesty International, salsera, etc. The Bottom Line – This is your life… Change is necessary for us to grow. Find something you love and run with it. Don’t ask for permission, don’t second guess yourself, just make a bold move and go for it. I just received a nice little payday for conducting online social media classes. If you would’ve told me 4 years ago I’d be a mompreneur working as a life coach, conducting social media classes, running my household and dealing with constant change I would’ve said “Yes, and I will be the BEST ONE at it.” You gotta believe in yourself, be your #1 fan because when push comes to shove you were giving this life to LIVE it! Or you can hire a cheerleader and support person aka life coach, we’re here to motivate, inspire and hold you accountable.
